As an all-inclusive provider, ECL Energy even obtains or helps to obtain government permits and local authority permissions to begin work. Starting with map surveying combined with existing meteorological pattern data, we are quickly able to identify key target locations to which we then make site visits to conduct pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.

Upon completion of pre-feasibility studies, ECL Energy then proceeds with the full gamut of feasibility studies, with onsite visits to assess hydrological data such as water availability in the catchment area, and flood assessment as well as droughts and other historic cyclic weather patterns.

The next step is environmental and social impact, and how the new project construction as well as its future existence, impacts the local population in terms of displacement, ecological pollution, or destruction. The positive impacts are also quantified to demonstrate economic gains, gentrification to the area, and revenue to the local surrounding economies. In all of our ‘run off the riverʼ projects, we pride ourselves in building sustainable and environmentally friendly projects that leave a small carbon footprint.

Land ownership is also determined, including how to lease or buy the necessary area needed to make the project viable, and other logistical challenges that may occur upon the commencement of the project.
