Rukarara Hydropower
Project
ECLE’s first foray into overseas markets; this mini Hyrdro power plant commissioned in 2011 in Rukarara, Rwanda, adds 9.2 MW to the Rukarara grid. As the EPC contractor for the project we ensured the supply, installation, commissioning of three Francis Turbine units and total electro-mechanical package sourced from one of Europe’s leading manufacturers.

A 2 MW mini hydro power plant in the highest mountain region of Sri Lanka
ECLE implanted the EPC for this 1.0 MW power plant.
Utilising the waters of river Walawe, the Mini Hydro generates 1.8 MW for which ECEL was implementer of the EPC contract.
Another Water to Wire mini hydro designed, constructed as well as operated and maintained by ECLE in Uganda.
